From the Bus: Notes Before the Ryman Opener
Soundcheck is a church even when the pews are empty. A short letter before the Wildflower tour opens.
The Ryman smells like old wood and new strings. We ran Whiskey on the Brazos twice and then stopped talking, which is how you know the arrangement is finished.
If you are coming opening night, come early enough to hear the room before the room is full. That is the part I wait all year for.
